Chapter 2: PLACE AND FORMAT OF COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS

Section 7: Wrap-up meetings

Wrap-ups held as public meetings

At the end of its July 2014 presidency, Rwanda convened a wrap-up session in the format of a formal public Council meeting, thus reviving a format for wrap-up sessions which had last been used in March 2005.  The following month, when the presidency of the United Kingdom used the same format, it was the first time since 2000 that a permanent member convened a wrap-up session as a public meeting.  (This update supplements pages 55-56 of the book.)
